more opinions.....

I'm pretty sure I responded to these, either way I'll post....

To Mr. Duchamp,
Your article on the creative act had me spinning in circles. It reminded me of the time I tried to understand Dao by reading about it. I feel your point hadn't even begun to be explained until the last paragraph. I can see all sides of a production of a creation by an artist, that only the artist produces or adds to it, and even that the spectators will add more than the one who brought the idea to life. A creative act is all of those things. You described what I will label a psychosomatic experience. Things will be what you want them to be.

To the selector of dada writings,
Thank you first for choosing this section. It both helped me to understand DADAism further and yet to also make it just that much more vague. Reading through it, I began to see art and all it's branches as a figurative plant or tree as it became a more clear vision, I wanted more and more to hug it. So I will go to my roommate to fulfill that desire.

To friedman (of 4histories, 3directions and 2futures),
Well that's too bad that Flynt's point was not grasped correctly. I will, though, put this mistake in the category of greatest mistakes, along with the invention of the chocolate chip cookie. you stated that intermedia and multimedia were not the same then explained what intermedia's point was, i never saw an explanation of multimedia, I'm still in the dark about that...
i find it interesting that with intermedia as a curriculum, it had two starts, that apparently did not know about each other until after a while? and the fact that the curriculum was successfull through its first run at U of I. Anytime I had heard of things starting fresh as a new curriculum there were many obstacles to get around. Years in the making, it sounds like intermedia was supposed to be explored by students at Iowa, considering the minimal offenses towards it.

To Mr. Higgins,
I'm pretty sure i responded to this, as it was the article to completely change the way i felt about intermedia and all that goes with it.
so a very special thanks to you Mr. Higgins, for dissecting the concepts so softly.

Thank you gentlemen,
Carrie
