Iraq planter

Our project WAS in the pedestrian mall, in a planter by Jimmy John's.  Our piece was about moving the war in Iraq into Iowa City.  We had around 53 army men and women, one for every Iowan fallen in the war, tagged.  It showed their names, home city, date of birth, and place of death.  About fifteen minutes after setting it all up and taking a few pictures, that lady up there came and took it all down.  We thought she was planting flowers, but, she wasn't.  It was good while it lasted.

I think this is really great work. I would like to see you continue it - as it is something that seems like it would not be too difficult to re-install. What if it was moving around Iowa City. It is a strong and good idea - that idea of bringing the war here, in whatever form works. - Jenn Myers
